It’s Valentine’s week. That time each year when people say how much they love someone…through big ways and small. It doesn’t matter if you’re straight or gay: love is love. So to everyone, I wish you a wonderfully romantic week ahead.
If there is one thing I’ve learned since Missing came out – romance is so different to different people. We don’t all agree on what we consider romantic. My husband and I may think traveling to Europe to sail down a river may fit our bill while others think curling up on the sofa with popcorn and a good movie is more their speed. The same is true of romance in books. There have been many readers that do not see Missing as a romantic novel. They see mystery, suspense and a road to recovery. But others see the long love of two married men. The memory of romance from a life together. And a look at romance in non-conventional terms.
What do I love?
That people can read one book and see it in such different ways. I freakin’ love that! Thanks for all the readers out there – both romantic and non that have read and enjoyed the book. In about three months, a new story will be coming out that is full of romance in a time-travel setting!
Enjoy your V-Day, all!
